Interesting! This made me think about my approach to tea. Why would someone spend time brewing a cup of tea slowly, or grind coffee for that matter, when instant tea bags or coffee are so readily available? I think widening options from more to choose from is awesome!
I very much agree! Large generalziations "Always do this! Never do that! I'm a ... purist!" are tough, in part because sometimes a tea bag is convenient and nice. I think, at the end of the day, the big slogans are just ways to avoid asking important questions. How does tea fit into my life?
And, in line with my answer to that, when do I want to brew it loose leaf and slow and when do I want do I just want a cuppa? Making a decision merely on the basis of efficiency seems misguided, but it also does seem a step to far to say 'it is always wrong to do....'
